Alessandra Rich is really having a moment, if the recent spate of celebrities wearing the designer’s eponymous label are any indication. The British brand appears to boast wide appeal, with everyone from global megastars like Beyoncé to style ingenues like Kendall Jenner donning Alessandra Rich separates. Even the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is a huge fan, having donned a number of frocks from the popular range.
So what is it about the brand that’s enticed such a star-studded following? The retro-inspired designs, including cropped knit two-pieces and feminine flouncy dresses with power shoulders, seem to strike the perfect tough-pretty balance. The styles are also extremely versatile, easily dressed up or down upon any occasion.
Indeed, Hailey Bieber took her Rich to the red carpet, opting for the brand’s Silk Velvet Bralet and Midi Skirt to attend the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021. Dua Lipa performed in a slinky high-waisted bikini from the brand, while Lucy Hale demonstrated the pull of an Alessandra Rich evening ensemble, choosing a structured purple two-piece suit and silk blouse.
Kendall Jenner, meanwhile, keeps it a little more casual in lavendar knit co-ords while out and about in Los Angeles. But perhaps Rich’s most devoted fan? That would be Beyoncé, who loves the label’s skirt suits, having worn several this past year. Her most recent choice was a bleached denim jacket and matching mini with white pumps, of which she’s also rocked a similar style in sumptuous black tweed.
But it’s the girly tea dresses that Alessandra Rich is perhaps best known for at the moment, with polka dot silk numbers spotted on everyone from Paris Hilton to Sarah Jessica Parker and Middleton’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.
