The story of Britney Spears‘ controversial conservatorship has been recreated into a myriad of documentaries, often without the approval of the pop star herself. While we’re still waiting on the result of her rumoured interview with Oprah Winfrey, a tell-all memoir is now in the works after a $15 million USD bidding war between book publishers.

According to insiders for Page Sixthe upcoming book by publisher Simon & Schuster will chronicle her career, private life and family. One source claimed “the deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.” The rights for Barack and Michelle Obama’s book was sold in 2017 with the figure reportedly surpassing $60 million USD.

The sale comes after sister Jaime Lynn released her own memoir back in January 2022 dubbed, Things I Should Have Said. At the time, the pop star responded to the scathing book on social media.

“Congrats best seller…..The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk s—t but your f—king lying…..I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me !!!!,” Spears wrote to Instagram in a now-deleted post. “I wish the almighty, Lord would could come down and show this whole world that you’re lying and making money off of me !!!! You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”

It seems readers agreed, with the book earning just two out of five stars on Good Reads.

In more good news for the “Toxic” artist, there is strong evidence to support that she will be returning to music and performing very soon. In early February Spears took to social media to post one of her famous viral dance videos and wrote in the caption, “This is a tease 😈 of what’s to come !!!!”

Stay tuned for updates on all of it!
