Grab your cut-off denim and teeny tiny crop tops because Britney Spears is officially back. Months after the end of her controversial conservatorship in late 2021, the pop star has returned to the dance studio to tease “what’s to come”. On Instagram the 40-year-old posted one of her famous videos, this time dancing to “Get Naked” from her critically-acclaimed 2007 album, Blackout.

“This is a tease 😈 of what’s to come !!!! My song ‘Get Naked’ 🎧 !!! … Just PLAYING around folks !!!!”, she wrote in the accompanying caption. It’s the first time in a long time that Spears has referenced her own music.

Longtime friend Paris Hilton was one of many celebrities to comment on the recent post, writing, “So hot!!! 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

Spears last full-length project was the release of her album Glory in 2016. A deluxe version was re-released on streaming platforms in 2020. It was unclear if the the “Toxic” star would ever return to music following years of serious mental health issues and alleged coercive manipulation at the hands of her father, Jamie Spears.

In 2019, Spears was checked into a treatment centre amid her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency. At the time Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph said her hiatus from music could be permanent.

“As the person who guides her career, based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis, it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again,” Rudolph told TMZ.

He added, “She clearly doesn’t want to perform now …[and] I don’t want her to work again ‘till she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately.”

In July 2021, in the midst of a court battle to be freed from the conservatorship, Spears again revealed that she wouldn’t take to the stage anytime soon. “For those of you who choose to criticise my dancing videos…look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think. I’ve done that for the past 13 years,” Spears wrote on Instagram at the time.

Gosh, we hope this is the real deal! We can’t wait to see what Britney does next.
