It’s the high fashion trend that lost no time in hitting the streets. Western dressing has been the stand-out look on the streets outside the Spring Summer 2019 fashion week shows, with countless snaps on our favourite social feeds featuring the hot new wardrobe vibe.

For the second season in a row, there were plenty of runways featuring cowboy style, but the difference this season was its appearance in the front row as well.

Aimee Song, Carmen Grace Hamilton and Mary Lee were just a few of the fashion influencers wearing their take on the cowboy theme. Since the buzz for western boots started since last season’s shows, the hype for the desert look has reached new heights, with many brands in the process of releasing fresh cowboy boot designs.

The signature footwear’s not the only evidence of fashion’s new-found love for everything western. Leather, fringing, and the newly-released Dior Saddle Bags have also topped this season’s must-have list, as have natural-toned maxi-dresses, often paired with tasselled corsets for an authentic western look. (The Max Mara SS19 and Zimmermann SS19 shows are perfect examples.)

It’s time to look west for your style adventures this season. Step one should be in a Cuban heel.
