Bella Hadid has cemented her position as a queen of vintage fashion by completely revamping her person style with unique cult items and Depop finds. Her latest look was far more rare to come by as she appeared on Instagram overnight wearing a 2002 Junya Watanabe denim dress that she purchased 12 months ago (the search is on for the source). She was first photographed wearing the piece in Manhattan earlier this month.

“Pulled out this beautiful @junyawatanabe 2002 I bought last year to be @samiranasr & @derekblasberg date to my favorite city landmark @strandbookstore & Bottega dinner a few days ago ….🖤,” she wrote on social media. The dress featured a neckline that would hang off one shoulder, columns of ripped denim and detailed stitching that curved around the waist.

The dress was styled with a Bottega Veneta x Strand book tote, Bottega Veneta earrings, Oakley sunglasses and Fidan Novruzova Havva Chunky Heel Trouser Boots. Oh, and bleached eyebrows.

Junya Watanabe is a Japanese designer who rose to critical acclaim for conceptual designs and pattern manipulation. He is best known as a protégé of Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo and continues to design for the Japanese-born Paris-based fashion house.

Her most recent social media presence is just one of many archival moments of late. Last month she was seen departing Nobu in Los Angeles wearing a 2007 Chanel shift dress sounding the introduction of ballet-core into our sartorial repertoire. And we can’t forget the Jean Paul Gaultier gown that she almost wore on the Met Gala red carpet that was flown in specially for the supermodel.
