If there’s one woman who has both millennial and Gen Z women in a style chokehold, it’s none other than Bella Hadid.
The model, who rotates her Y2K-heavy wardrobe with emerging designers and vintage pieces she buys herself off Depop, is constantly the subject of TikTok videos wherein young people try to replicate her style. She’s also almost singlehandedly to thank for sparking trends, such as the recent return of Adidas samba sneakers and flared trousers, as well as helping to alert the younger generation of the beauty of shopping secondhand.
So when the season begins to shift and suddenly everything you’ve been wearing for the past three months doesn’t work, where else to look but Bella Hadid?
Thankfully, the model is here to feed us, arriving in Milan for the city’s Spring/Summer 2023 fashion week on Thursday with a suitcase full of looks. She was first spotted wearing a white vest with high-waisted jeans, adding a Chanel On The Pavements graffiti messenger bag from spring/summer 2015 and a pair of black boots on her feet.

In the northern hemisphere, it’s officially autumn. The days are getting shorter, the sun is swapped for grey (in London especially) and layers are essential. Amid it all, it looks like Hadid has already worked out her fail-safe fall ‘fits. Her formula? A skirt and knee-high boots. Spotted out and about on Thursday afternoon in the Italian city, Hadid wore a tan midi skirt paired with tan boots and a red Nike zip-up sports jacket. She added a pair of Oakley (I think?) black glasses and wore her brunette hair straight with her fringe on full display.
The next day, Hadid wore a similar formula, opting for a full khaki look, made up of a skirt and jacket that she paired with black boots. Letting her accessories do the talking yet again, Hadid wore a limited-edition Louis Vuitton X Richard Prince ombre monogram bag from Marc Jacobs’s spring/summer 2008 collection.
