We’re calling it, honey blonde is about to be the biggest colour trend of 2023. Last month Kim Kardashian swapped her platinum strands for a warmer hue and now it seems more celebrities are following suit. Our favourite brunette bombshell Bella Hadid had undergone a dramatic transformation this month to opt for long blonde locks.

Taking to Instagram stories overnight she debuted the new look and wrote within the frame, “feeling a little better & a little blonder”, seemingly confirming that blondes really do have more fun. Gigi, is that you?

It’s not the first time Hadid has been blonde, but it is her most distinctive colour change. In 2019 and 2020 the supermodel dabbled with a lighter hue and transitioned between a blonde bob and longer balayage hair.

Vanessa Hudgens also tried blonde locks on for size this month and channelled Lady Gaga with a peroxide hue and bleached eyebrows.

If taking a sizeable amount of bleach to your fragile hair is a little intimidating, this season’s hottest (and most festive) hue is still moving with momentum. Last week Lucy Boynton debuted a fiery copper look on the red carpet of her new film The Pale Blue Eye alongside Christian Bale.

Kendall Jenner was one of the first to debut red hair in February this year for Prada. It saw the likes of Gigi Hadid, Halsey, Sydney Sweeney and Megan Fox all briefly wear the colour.
