Finally moving into the spotlight, the Californian-based label (the lovechild of three Oliver People’s alumni) is stocked at the world’s most prestigious boutiques, both online and bricks ‘n mortar  Mr Porter, Collette Paris, Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market – and opened their fourth stand-alone boutique earlier this year, a flagship in New York city.

To wear a pair of Barton Perriera shades is to understand quality. The strong, lightweight frames engineered from steel and titanium are handmade in Japan using high-end materials and ancient making techniques in unisex styles that fit perfectly on the face and are inspired by mid-century architecture and fabulous, far-flung places (think the French Riviera in the ’50s or St Tropez in the ’70s).
