Dua Lipa might be physically far from Europe right now—she’s currently in the warmer climates of Miami, Florida—but the singer has taken a slice of her the stylish city found just a train ride from London, dressing the epitome of French-girl chic in her latest Instagram photo.
Usually one for more overstated outfits, think pink Blumarine two-pieces, Versace printed bodysuits, and sparkly mini-skirts, in recent months Lipa has become the poster child for Y2K maximalism in all its glory. And when she touched down in the beachy city, her wardrobe choices were initially on brand: she was spotted wearing a barely-there Isa Boulder knitted dress with Coperni platform-wedge sandals, before she was later photographed in low-rise jeans with a colourful scarf top.
But the lead of her latest photo dump? A classically chic outfit consisting of a pair of cropped denim jeans, a Celine T-shirt and a Chasseur jacket with classic Breton stripes. She held a Gucci Jackie bag in crimson and wore a pair of black pointy strappy sandals on her feet. Emily Cooper, is that you?
Of course, this is Dua Lipa we’re talking about: this was no posed photo in front of a cute cafe, croissant seen placed perfectly in the background. Instead, the pop star screwed up her face and lent back in a wide-legged stance, roughing up the image in her usual ‘casual ‘gram’ way.
Outfits aside, Lipa has been busy lately. She announced not only the launch of her new newsletter, Service95, but a coinciding podcast, where she’ll speak to “the most incredible names across fashion, music, literature, global activism and so much more.” Plus, in her newsletter, she’s dropping her favourite restaurants, shops and attractions in cities all over the world.
