Hello and good morning to our coverage of the annual awards season. We were last left at the Screen Actors Guild Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica where there were many glamorous looks and ground-breaking moments. Today, stars travelled overseas (overseas!) to the Royal Albert Hall in London where the 2022 BAFTAs took place.

Now that we’ve discussed all the best red carpet looks, the next order of business is the winners list. Sci-fi film Dune starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya (who were sadly not in attendance) led the nominations and won five awards overnight while unsurprisingly, Power of the Dog with Benedict Cumberbatch was awarded Best Film and director Jane Campion was honoured as Best Director.

Elsewhere, Disney’s Cruella won Best Costume Design (you can read our interview with the designer here) and Lashana Lynch won the highly-acclaimed EE Rising Star Award which is voted for by the public.
