If anyone were to make the case for sparkling hiking boots, it would have to be American music darling and pop icon, Alicia Keys. Off the back of her 2020 comeback album ALICIA, the 39-year-old debuted her latest single “Love Looks Better” last week, accompanied by a powerful music video.

“A lot of this visual is about running away from what you used to do, to running towards your true self,” Keys revealed in a behind-the-scenes look at the music video.

In response to the political climate in the US, the project is teeming with #BlackLivesMatter references. Keys can be seen stripping from a billowing tulle skirt and barefoot, before donning a pair of Jimmy Choo x Timberland Limited Edition boots.

“To collaborate with a brand like Timberland allows Jimmy Choo to explore a new avenue and take part in a different conversation,” says Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo. “I love to mix it up by getting together with different creative minds combining our DNA to create a beautiful and surprising product with unexpected links to the roots of both our brands. Timberland’s outdoor work heritage combined with our high fashion sensibility creates something really exciting and unique in the market.”

Within the collaborative effort, Timberland’s iconic original yellow boot is injected with the luxury and glamour of the Jimmy Choo brand, awakening a collection that includes three unique 6” styles for men and women, plus an exclusive women’s style featuring an embellished gold glitter toe. Styles include the 6” Premium Wheat with Swarovski Crystal Collar, 6” Premium Wheat with Gold Glitter,  6” Premium Black with Glitter and the Limited edition 6” Premium all-over Swarovski with crystal embellishment.
