It’s the breakout accessory star of European Summer 2018 that appeals as much to edgy singers and street style snappers as it does Victoria’s Secret Angels and Hollywood superstars.

Contrary to first impressions, the wicker bag bonanza is far from just casual resort wear. Emily Ratajkowski and current Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hosk both showcased theirs – Prada and Chanel respectively – to the Revolve Festival’s red carpet during Coachella.
French fashion blogger and Adenorah founder Anne-Laure Mais teamed hers with a tailored blazer and designer jeans for Paris Fashion Week. BAFTA Award nominee Elizabeth Olsen took hers to the 11th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park in New Jersey earlier this year.
While designer houses like Dolce Gabbana and Gucci, along with French brand A.P.C and American luxury bag brand Mark Cross, offer delicious options at the investment end of the cost spectrum, there’s plenty on offer at the more affordable end too. Sportsgirl, Free People and even Australian brand Helen Kaminski offer options that are as on-trend.
