It’s quite possibly the single biggest call-back appointment (in a cash money and personal brand sense) of a working model’s whole year. So what exactly do the front-runners for the limited spots on the Victoria’s Secret runway – alongside the regular VS Angels, who of course have guaranteed spots – wear to impress casting agents and the formidable show creative director Sophia Neophitou? Just enough fabric to show off her lingerie-perfect body without looking like she’s tried too hard.
As these paparazzi snaps taken just hours ago outside Victoria’s Secret headquarters on New York’s Broadway reveal, there’s somewhat of a on-brand uniform for nabbing the right kind of professional attention. What other above-board job interview in the world would applaud wearing a micro-mini?
While the brand is yet to release a date and official location (rumour has it though, this year’s city of choice will be Shanghai, mostly for commercial reasons) the who’s-who turning up for the final round of casting – including Antipodeans Georgia Fowler and Bridget Malcolm – are the best clue yet to the final line-up.
