“I know Isabel through her clothes,” said Vanessa Paradis. “I have been wearing them a long time. I am a great fan.” The French actor, artist and model summed up the mood of almost all guests at yesterday’s exclusive outdoor party co-hosted by Isabel Marant and fashion e-tail site, MyTheresa at Hotel Particulier in the Paris suburb of Montmartre.
The cult designer was joined by her lookalike daughter Emily and husband designer Jerome Dreyfuss, along with the who’s who of fashion it-people, society folk and film stars – who all happen to be friends of the designer.

Those ‘friends’ ranged from Paradis to Carolyn Murphy and her daughter Dylan, socialite Daisy Lowe, Romania’s top model Andreea Diaconu, blogging stars Constance Jablonski and Chiara Ferragni, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Gary Dourdan, who met Marant through mutual friends at a Pharrell Williams concert.

“I used to live above her store in New York and Broome Street and that was a problem,” Diaconu told Women’s Wear Daily at the party, referencing the dangerous temptation to shop the brand more than her budget allowed at the time.
