After a triumphant debut last year for Spring/Summer 2026, Louise Trotter is set to deliver her second collection as creative director of Bottega Veneta during Milan Fashion Week.
Appointed as successor to Matthieu Blazy in the House’s 60th year, Trotter’s highly-anticipated first show resisted the temptation for bombast. Instead, she began at the beginning, with the Intrecciato technique that has become synonymous with the brand. Tailoring was light yet assured; Nappa trenches and cotton-lined gowns skimmed the body without constriction. Even the season’s flirtation with feathered fibreglass felt considered rather than capacious.
Now, for Fall/Winter 2026, Trotter returns to Milan for her second outing, and it seems that craftsmanship will continue to be the focus of her work. A teasing black-and-white clip of hands weaving leather suggests the quiet dedication behind the scenes of the leather luxuriant. And if her first collection was about setting intention, this one may promise evolution.
Watch the show live from Milan below as Trotter continues to shape a house defined by the power of its craftsmanship—and, perhaps more importantly, the people behind it.
