Paris Fashion Week is here, and as always, the last stop of the global Fashion Month will kick off with Dior’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri.
In a teaser for the show, Chiuri, who has established a habit of finding inspiration in formidable women throughout history, explores the Musée du Louvre with its curator, Ludovic Laugier. Landing on Diana of Versailles, a marble statue of the Roman Goddess of Hunting, the two discuss the artwork’s meaning and, of course, her clothing.
Known as a protector and woman of action, Diana—or Artemis, as she is also known—is depicted with a wide gaze, hastening forward as she simultaneously reigns in a deer and reaches for an arrow out of her quiver. As Chiuri and Laugier chat about her significance, they also note the versatility and historical importance of the toga, leading us to believe that this traditional garment will feature as inspiration in the upcoming collection set to debut tonight.
The Dior Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear Show will debut in Paris on Tuesday, September 24th at 2:30 pm CET (Tuesday, September 24th at 10:30 pm AEST). Tune in below to watch the presentation live as it unfolds.
