Zoë Kravitz has never shied away from bold fashion choices. In fact, she leans towards ultra mini hemlines and skin-baring cut-outs on a regular basis. So, when she arrived at New York City’s KitKat Club to indulge in the revival of Cabaret, of course, she dressed for the occasion.
With the help of her stylist Andrew Mukamal, who is also responsible for Margot Robbie’s Barbie press tour looks, Kravitz looked plucked from the stage in this ultra-sheer outfit from Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection. Designed by Anthony Vaccarello, the LBD riffs off traditional hosiery, including a translucent fabrications with a thicker waistband at the chest and prominent stitching along the centre.
On the runway back in February, the same dress was styled with a choker and matching headband as well as a faux fur jacket worn draped over the model’s arm. Kravitz mimicked the look with her black tights and peep-toe pumps, but swapped out the rest for narrow belt, sleek black coat and minimalist black shoulder bag.
Also showing up within the show in tan and navy hues, the dress hails from a collection made up entirely of sheer looks. From pussybow blouses and pencil skirts to draped off-shoulder gowns, it was all out in the open on the Paris runway. While many celebrities have been hopping on the ‘quiet luxury’ bandwagon, it’s good to know that Hollywood hasn’t lost its risk-takers.
Kravitz, a longtime Saint Laurent muse, is the first celebrity to try out this collection, but certainly won’t be the last.
