Following Julia Fox‘s sartorial revolution courtesy of Kanye West earlier this year, the actress has favoured BDSM-inspired aesthetics and polarising leather looks. Now that the weather has shifted, Fox is switching out her leather for silk and something tells us that we’re going to be seeing a lot more (read: quite literally) of the Uncut Gems star this season.
Fox was photographed in New York City at the weekend wearing a champagne slip dress which featured a gaping split down one side, a black Chanel quilted handbag and sky-high patent leather platform boots. It was paired with undone waves and a pared-back approach on the actress’ signature smudged wing eyeliner.
Eagle-eyed fans would recall that Lady Gaga opted for similar footwear on a 2021 trip to the Big Apple and was a recurring item during her “Fame Monster” era. Both women deserve an award for simply not breaking an ankle.
Fox’s appearance in Manhattan arrives alongside rumours that she may appear in Season 13 of The Real Housewives Of New York City. According to Variety, producer Andy Cohen has dubbed the upcoming season “the most exciting casting proposition” in his career. Bravo, the studio responsible for the franchise, is in the process of “rebooting and recasting” the reality series. TMZ has reported however that Fox is yet to speak with producers.
It would come as no surprise if she were to join the franchise. The cult writer and star has certainly seen a renaissance in 2022. In March, just weeks after she split from West, the actress admitted that it was the “best thing” to have happened.
“It was the best thing that could have happened to me,” she told Entertainment Tonight while attending The Batman premiere. It was like “hitting a reset button.”
