At the 2022 BAFTAs in London overnight, all misconceptions that Millie Bobby Brown was still just an awkward teenager was abolished when she publicly debuted her very grown up relationship with new boyfriend Jake Bongiovi – the son to musician Jon Bon Jovi. Serving as a presenter for the annual film awards, the Stranger Things actress stepped onto the red carpet hand-in-hand with her 19-year-old beau.

Brown wore a vampy black lace and velvet gown by Louis Vuitton which featured a cape and was paired with black opera gloves and strappy heels. Bongiovi was perfectly coordinated – no doubt after strict instruction – in a black tuxedo while he also wore a tiny Ukraine flag pin in support of the war-torn country.

The couple have been dating for several months. Brown – who boasts over 48 million followers on social media – took the relationship ‘Instagram official’ back in November 2021 when she posted a PDA-fuelled photo atop the famous London Eye. The Enola Holmes star who turned 18 last month, honoured her birthday with another selfie from her boyfriend to which he replied in the comment section, “Ur rly pretty”.

The actress has certainly learnt to grow from her awkward teenage years after she was catapulted to stardom for portraying ‘Eleven’ in the cult series, Stranger Things. She garnered controversy in 2019 after posting a photo in a leopard mini dress to which Paris Hilton famous quoted, “That’s hot.” Evan Rachel Woods retorted however, “She’s 15.”.

Later she was criticised for a somewhat bizarre skincare routine while promoting her new skincare line Florence by Mills. Eagled-eyed fans noticed that the bottles of product seemed empty and her face dry when she attempted to use them. At the time she responded, “I’m still learning the best way to share my routines as I get to know this space better — I’m not an expert. I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was okay, but that’s not what was conveyed.”

Brown will return to the small screen in May for the fourth season of Stranger Things, nearly three years after season three was released.
