The Grammys are a great time to push the beauty envelope, especially when it comes to the humble manicure (as we saw last year). Who wants boring beige or a clean French tip when you can make like Beyoncé and wear a shiny gold hue that exists outside black leather gloves. Or Harry Styles, who continues to refute old, stuffy gender norms and instead blessed us all with a multi-coloured mani that complemented his feather boa.
Here, we’re rounding up the best Grammy manicures – impractical, unobtainable, but wildly fabulous.
Ahh Beyoncé. Her Grammys appearance was short but oh-so-sweet, partly due to this fabulous Schiaparelli gold-mani-outside-the-glove situation.
Rumour has it Billie Eilish changed her nails three times at this year’s award ceremony. And it comes as no surprise. Last time around, the “Bad Guy” singer wore a custom set of Gucci green talons that supposedly took two nail technicians four hours to hand-paint at her family home. Committed to the cause.
Pop princess Dua Lipa left no detail spared tonight, including her digits. The singer went for a long beige mani replete with tiny butterflies – a nice complement to her butterfly-emblazoned Versace gown.
Lizzo always raises the manicure bar, this time around being no different. Here, she’s gone for a stiletto shape with a holographic baby pink finish.
Harry Styles is a man after our sartorial hearts. Aside from his iconic Gucci ensemble (complete with a feather boa) the musician even fashioned a multi-coloured manicure. From this POV, it looks like mint green, chocolate brown, baby blue and black.
Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to a killer set of acrylics, but this peachy set takes the cake. It’s a wonder how she can text/eat/type. But when they look this good, who cares?
