We didn’t even know we wanted a third Sex And The City film so badly until now.

After Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed plans for Sex And The City 3 have been canned and Kim Cattrall admitted she didn’t want to make the film, Kristin Davis has also released a statement about the SATC 3 that wasn’t to be.

In typically emotional Charlotte style, Davis posted a note to fans on Instagram that will make any true Sex And The City fan tear up, even just a little bit.

“I love to look back at the pics from our LONG history of Sex and the City,” she captioned a screengrab of Charlotte from a SATC episode.

“I am incredibly lucky to have gotten to play Charlotte through all of her ups and downs (epitomized in one of my favorite episodes here).

“It is true that we are not going to be able to make a 3rd film,” she continued.

“I wish that we could have made the final chapter, on our own terms, to complete the stories of our characters. It is deeply frustrating not to able to share that chapter (beautifully written by [Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King]) with all of you.

“So we will just have our memories, but please know that all of the love and support for us through the years is felt by us and we are so grateful for all of you! SATC forever in our hearts.”

This week the Daily Mail reported that SATC 3 had pulled at the last minute because of “demands” made by Kim Cattrall. Cattrall has denied the Daily Mail’s report, only confirming that she did not want to make the film, a decision made in 2016.
