For real, I am a fully grown adult woman who loves Hello Kitty, so when I learned about Starface’s second collaboration with Sanrio, I nearly yelled, “sign me up!” I say nearly because, well, I was alone in my room and no one was around to hear me other than my Hello Kitty figurines.
Starface, the beloved skincare brand famous for their star-shaped pimple stickers, first collaborated with Hello Kitty on the Starface x Hello Kitty Hydro-Stars, which sold out in less than 72 hours upon initial release. This time, it’s a limited-edition printed version of Starface’s popular Lift Off Pore Strips, which launch today, August 12. Each pore strip comes full of a blend of witch hazel leaf extract and aloe barbadensis leaf extract, which work together to treat and calm sensitive skin, balance sebum secretion, as well as deep clean blocked pores. For those of us who love to look at the gunk under a pore strip or a Swiffer sheet, now you can do it with a Hello Kitty twist.
“Starface and Sanrio share the belief that the products we use every day and surround ourselves with can bring happiness and positivity to people of all ages, so it was natural that both brands team up again to bring this fun iteration of Pore Strips to life,” the brand shared in a statement. The Lift Off Pore Strips are safe for all skin types, vegan, Leaping Bunny certified, and safe for nursing and pregnant individuals — just the way Hello Kitty would have wanted it.
