Since the Obama family moved out of the White House in 2017, Sasha Obama has been a forming her own independent life. The youngest Obama moved to Los Angeles last August after transferring to the University of Southern California from the University of Michigan, where she attended for two years.

After her mother, Michelle Obama, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to chat about daughters Malia and Sasha having, “boyfriends and real lives,” news of Sasha reportedly dating commercial director Clifton Powell Jr. (the son of Ray actor Clifton Powell) has been making headlines.

The pair were seen together in photos obtained by the Daily Mail just after the former First Lady’s Ellen appearance.

Malia, now 23 years old, and Sasha, 20, were just 10 and 8 years old, respectively, when their father, Barack Obama, was elected president in 2008.

Joking with DeGeneres over how quickly her girls have grown into young women, the Becoming author said said, “They loved the Jonas Brothers. Now they are bringing grown men home. Before it was just, like, pop bands. Now they have boyfriends and real lives and all that stuff. They have grown up right before our very eyes and they are doing well.”

Malia has been linked to fellow Harvard student since 2017, and the eldest Obama daughter is now joining the writer’s room for Donald Glover’s forthcoming Amazon series.
