The Christopher Esber momentum continues. Hot off the heels of winning the Kering and LVMH-backed ANDAM award in June—a grand prize which includes €300K and a mentorship with Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello—the Australian designer returned to Paris Fashion Week for his second show on September 26.

On schedule at the Palais de Tokyo, Esber presented his Spring/Summer 2025 collection to 300 guests. A nod to the undergarments of the 1950s, the Sydney-born designer intricately and uniquely worked with lace, silk, white muslin and chiffon to play with volumes and draping that, true to his DNA, celebrated the female form. Take for instance, a billowy, mint-hued transparent dress with a bubble hem or an iteration of such in a one shouldered halter, the latter exhibiting the marking of an early Yves Saint Laurent collection.

Elsewhere, fine ostrich feathers, each hand-beaded to a fine organza-like lattice, stormed down the runway via a pregnant Carmen Kass. And while Esber got clever with resin, denim and a white railroad stripe, his signatures silhouettes—what we absolutely adore him for—were well and truly present, albeit had evolved. This season, metal hardware is more detailed with bugle and seed beads anchoring jersey gowns. It’s incredible. The draping, the darts, the unique motion of it all as she moves.

In addition to the ANDAM award, Esber has made the prestigious BOF 500 list this week and let’s not forget Emily In Paris’ Sylvie (played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) working an Esber bustier this month, too. Come to think of it, it’s more than momentum. Esber is everywhere. And we couldn’t be prouder.
