Nearly twenty-one years ago, MTV Cribs invited us into the ostentatious (and occasionally modest) displays that lived in the mansions of reality stars, rappers, pro athletes and other A-listers. As the exclusive tours welcomed us to the off-the-grid, gated communities we hoped to one day nestle in, the series became an era-defining phenomenon. Now, the revolutionary lifestyle influencer blueprint has been swept into the slew of reboots for our early aughts favorites and is returning to our screens this August.

Stamped as Cribs, the iteration — which previously aired over 100 episodes across nearly 20 seasons — will reprise its original celeb home slash lifestyle vlog production with an all-star lineup. “Cribs didn’t simply introduce the celebreality genre, it created a blueprint for how we engage on social media,” said Nina L. Diaz, the series’ creator and the President of Content and Chief Creative Officer of MTV Entertainment Group, according to Deadline. “We are thrilled to usher in a new era of this iconic franchise for audiences around the world.”

The reprisal will feature Martha Stewart, Big Sean, JoJo Siwa, Marsai Martin, Snooki, Rick Ross and more. While the roster consists of industry heavy-hitters, we can’t help but anxiously wonder if it can measure up to the grandeur of the series’ heyday. How can we forget Mariah Carey’s bombshell tour of her  Tribeca penthouse where she took an actual plunge into her bathtub on national television? Oh, and there was also that time Lil Wayne and Birdman’s Cash Money profits financed a jacuzzi ludicrously placed in their living room.

Hopefully, Martha Stewart will take us through her iconic residence on Connecticut’s countryside while Jojo Siwa shows off an intolerable array of garments in her closet specked in glitters, prints and rainbows. The OG fans will be able to see if the reboot lives up to its former glory when the reboot when the premiere of Cribs to comes to Paramount+ on August 11 at 9:30 p.m. EST.
