King Charles III longs to reconnect with grandchildren Archie and Lilibet

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle packed up and moved to Montecito, California, King Charles III has had scarce opportunities to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. This situation breaks the heart of a grandfather who cherishes family time. Physical distance and family conflicts keep him from Duke of Sussex’s kids.

“He Hates the Idea,” King Charles III Wants to See His Grandchildren

“He absolutely wants to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lilibet don’t remember him as the warm and loving grandfather he wants to be,” said journalist Tom Quinn to the Mirror. Archie, born in May 2019, has barely spent any time with his grandfather Charles, his uncle William, and his cousins George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Although Meghan and Harry have visited the UK a few times, there’s no solid evidence that Archie and Lilibet Diana got to bond with the British family. No family photos have surfaced to suggest otherwise, keeping it a lingering mystery.

A Visit from King Charles III to Montecito?

Ever since Prince Harry’s memoirs and the Netflix documentary ‘Harry & Megan,’ tensions in the royal family haven’t eased. Clearly distressed by these circumstances, King Charles III, who is also dealing with cancer, hopes to plan a trip to the U.S. to see his grandchildren and enjoy some precious moments with them.

Royal expert Tom Quinn revealed, “Charles has discussed an official visit to the United States at some point in the future, and there is no doubt that if that visit takes place, he will have time to visit his youngest son and grandchildren. But there are mountains of planning to overcome before this becomes even a remote possibility.”
