After Kate Middleton’s plea for “time, space and privacy” during her “shock” diagnosis, it appears that the Princess of Wales won’t be recuperating alone—or confining herself to the wings of the palace. Indeed, a new report claims that the former Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted out for the first time since sharing her prognosis with the world.

Though the source didn’t confirm where this sighting took place, they did add that she was recently “out with her family” and “running solo errands”. The rare appearances follow allegations that Middleton has completely wiped her schedule for the remainder of the year and won’t be attending any future engagements or partaking in royal duties.

Middleton stepped away from the public’s eye in early January for a planned abdominal surgery. The lack of collective knowledge about her whereabouts—and a bizarrely doctored Mother’s Day photograph supposedly taken and edited by Middleton herself—prompted one of the most obscure welfare checks in history. After calls to find the “missing” Princess reached a fever pitch, Middleton was forced to share news of her health struggles and treatment plan with the world.

During the statement, she explained that her silence was a decisive manoeuvre to ensure her best shot at a full recovery and allowed her the grace to tell her children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9 and Prince Louis, 6, in her own time. “My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back, but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery,” she said at the time. Though the news quashed any hopes that she’d be back by Easter, unofficial statements have projected her return to occur in 2025.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are supposedly gearing up for a “big move” that involves Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 2. Their plans have nothing to do with their impassioned 2018 statement where the Duke of Sussex denounced the British press and their treatment of Markle being removed from the official royal website. But as the old adage goes, nothing is a coincidence, especially when it comes to the Royal family.
