Approaching Kempsford Manor feels like stepping into an English countryside fantasy. Honey-colored stone, manicured lawns, and sprawling gardens surround the Georgian estate. Yet inside, Jade Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, has created something far more personal than a traditional aristocratic retreat.
For the artist and designer, this Cotswolds property represents decades of creativity, family memories, and a determination to build an identity beyond her famous surname.
Inside Jade Jagger’s Stunning Cotswolds Manor
Located in Kempsford, near Fairford in Gloucestershire, Kempsford Manor dates back to the early eighteenth century. Built between 1700 and 1750, the property features eleven bedrooms, four reception rooms, and nearly seven acres of gardens, orchards, and greenhouses.
Despite its grand proportions, Jade has never wanted a formal showpiece. Instead, she has filled the rooms with colorful artwork, antique furniture, and personal treasures.
Her favorite room is the kitchen, where family life naturally unfolds.
“It is the heart of the house,” she explains. “We cook, talk, and many nights we end up dancing in there.”
The sprawling property has also become a playground for three generations, including her daughters Assisi and Amber, her younger son, and four grandchildren.
Growing Up As Mick Jagger’s Daughter Wasn’t Always Easy
Born in Paris in 1971 to Mick Jagger and Bianca Jagger, Jade spent her childhood between London and New York, surrounded by influential artists and musicians.
Andy Warhol was among the creative figures who shaped her early world. Yet growing up within rock royalty brought its own challenges.
“Carrying the Jagger surname has, at times, been a real challenge,” she admits. “Sometimes it can feel like quite a weight to bear, because it comes with so many expectations and constant comparisons.”
She also acknowledges the difficulty of establishing herself independently.
“Growing up with a dad who had achieved so much meant living in his shadow,” she explains.
Rather than following her father’s musical career, Jade discovered her own creative language through painting, jewelry, and interior design.
How Jade Jagger Built Her Own Creative Empire
Jade initially explored traditional painting techniques, particularly gold leaf, before developing an interest in jewelry design.
Her signature aesthetic combines precious gemstones, hammered gold, intricate detailing, and artistic influences drawn from different cultures.
Today, Jade Jagger Design encompasses fine jewelry, paintings, interiors, and accessories, including silk scarves decorated with botanical motifs and sacred animals.
Despite her glamorous background, Jade describes herself as “more of a tough girl,” preferring comfortable clothes and creative freedom over polished perfection.
That philosophy extends throughout Kempsford Manor, where lived-in sofas and unfinished canvases coexist with historic architectural details.
Why Jade Jagger Is Leaving Her Cotswolds Home
After years of family celebrations and artistic projects, Kempsford Manor went on the market in April 2026.
Jade is considering another countryside home, potentially somewhere warmer. Spain is particularly appealing, with sunshine becoming an increasingly important consideration.
“The cold plays a big role,” she admits.
For Jade, leaving the manor doesn’t mean abandoning its memories. Instead, it marks another chapter in a life defined by reinvention.
“To me, success is about accepting what I am capable of achieving and feeling genuinely happy with my own goals,” she reflects.
And perhaps that is Kempsford Manor’s greatest legacy: a home where Mick Jagger’s daughter learned to live entirely on her own terms.
