Remember that time Blake Lively wore six pant suits in six days in New York City? We do. And today, after an 8-month fashion hiatus (AKA having her and Ryan Reynolds’ third daughter), she’s back to her brilliant best with another six outfits, this time in a record 24 hours.
Storming the Big Apple with six stellar, self-styled looks (remember, she proudly doesn’t use a stylist), she kicked things off with a dusty pink trench-coat-cum-dress, which she accessorized with rich plum leather gloves and matching heeled hiking boots; part-femme-fatale, part high-tea.
Then for her first red carpet appearance, a velvet off-the-shoulder dress by Dolce & Gabbana with leather gloves and Christian Louboutin boots for the premiere of her new film, The Rhythm Section. Accompanying the old Hollywood look were layers of pearls, chains and one big sparkling emerald.
Then a quick dash in Brooklyn saw the same knee-high Louboutin boots, but with a Brooklyn-esque spin, a floral tea dress and velvet gloves (the recurring sartorial theme here).
Then she charted colorful territory, arriving at ‘Good Morning America‘ in fabulous head-to-toe Fendi, a sunny highlight from their delicious Spring-Summer 2020 show last September (the preppy look also recalling one Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl).
The color continued, this time in the form of fellow primary color, blue, wearing a cobalt (and very cozy) Max Mara Teddy coat atop a floral blue frock and aquamarine studs.
And for her final fashion pit-stop, a classic, more conservative combo; a crisp white shirt tucked into a black-blue velvet midi skirt and topped off with a black wide-brim fedora and bedazzled booties.
Welcome back to the fashion ring, Blake Lively.
