Match game! Leave it to Dior to up the ante on a viral favorite. For the latest incarnation of the French fashion house’s wildly popular Dior Addict line, Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian cooked up three new fragrances to pair with new shades — and finishes! — of lip gloss fine-tuned by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.
“They’re all very yummy, very sweet… very candy store,” Philips says of the scents. “It was a fun collaboration.”
More Dior Lip Glow Oils to Love
Before the fragrances came to fruition, Philips updated the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil formula with two new textures. The original sheer, ultra-shiny Juicy finish, now in seven shades, is joined by four Sparkly shades packed with iridescent shimmer thanks to varying sizes of glitter particles suspended in the gloss. “The effect is mesmerizing, as though crystallized, light-infused sugar has been sprinkled on the lips,” Philips explains. Achieving the look is all in the application, says the pro. “Push it in to the lips, place the glitter,” he says.
For a more saturated lip look, there are four shades of Glaze, a more densely-pigmented, high-coverage color with mirror like shine. The finish “coats the lips in a luminous and milky syrup,” Philips says. All three textures of Lip Glow Oil are spiked with cherry oil rich in ultra-nourishing omega fatty acids for long-lasting, collagen-boosting hydration.
Matching Fragrance to Makeup
But why should the sumptuous sensation stick to lips, only? With the sugar-spun delight a pastel paradise, three star scents pair with standout shades, and each one is something to crave.
“It’s like diving head-first into a pool of multi-colored bubbles,” Kurkdjian exclaims. Each scent, housed in a flacon resembling a supersized lip oil, is rich in gourmand notes, tapping into the “irresistible and seductive charm” of a carefree childhood memory. To achieve this, he took the floral notes synonymous with the Maison and expressed each through mouthwatering, fruit accords, amping up the sensuality.

For Rosy Glow, which pairs with 077 Rosy Candy Sparkly Lip Glow Oil, Damascena Rose reveals a touch of sugared lychee. Peachy Glow, the companion to 041 Peachy Juicy Lip Glow Oil, is lush with jasmine dripping in sweet peach syrup. And then there’s Purple Glow, where powdery iris is brightened by delectable candied raspberry — a perfect match with 104 Black Cherry Glaze Lip Glow Oil.
