Italian accessories label Cuba Lab is unveiling its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, introducing new interpretations of its signature woven handbags while continuing its commitment to artisanal craftsmanship and responsible luxury.
The collection expands on the brand’s recognizable aesthetic by combining Tuscan leatherwork with hand-woven corn straw and repurposed materials sourced from fashion brands. Each piece is produced in the leather workshop of San Patrignano, where traditional savoir-faire meets a more sustainable approach to design.
At the center of the lineup is the return of the brand’s best-selling silhouette, the Habanera Silk Archivio. The cylindrical basket bag features hand-woven corn straw construction, finished with leather flaps and handles with hand-painted edges. Archival sartorial silks are incorporated as decorative details, and because the fabrics are available only in limited quantities, each bag is produced as a one-of-a-kind piece.
For the new season, Cuba Lab also introduces the Habanera Trek, a contemporary reinterpretation of the style. The woven straw base is paired with a colored technical nylon drawstring lining and sporty leather laces and cords, designed to transition easily from everyday city wear to travel.
Elsewhere in the collection, two key silhouettes continue to evolve. The Bolero arrives in new suede variations while maintaining its distinctive mix of woven corn straw and colorful cotton ribbons. Meanwhile, the Cubita Silk shoulder bag features a structured construction with a handle decorated with small pure silk “mini-ties,” subtly bringing the Silk theme into the core of the collection.
Rounding out the offering is the Tropicana, a summer-ready shopping bag crafted in hand-woven paper raffia with a new, more graphic silhouette. Leather flaps, contrast stitching, and pendant charms — featuring leather cords, branded metal components, and colorful macramé elements — add a playful finishing touch to the season’s lineup.
Entirely produced in the San Patrignano workshop, the SS26 collection makes extensive use of recovered materials from fashion brands, transforming high-quality remnants into distinctive accessories while helping reduce waste. The label, already stocked in select boutiques across Italy, continues to expand internationally, with distribution reaching markets including the United States, the Middle East, and Australia.
With its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Cuba Lab continues to build on its distinctive approach to accessories, where traditional craftsmanship meets a thoughtful use of materials and contemporary design. The result is a lineup of pieces that feel both timeless and modern—bags designed not only to stand out for their artisanal character, but also to reflect a more considered vision of luxury.
