No matter the topic, Chrissy Teigen always keeps it real, and for her latest say-it-like-it-is moment, she’s talking footwear.
On Friday, the cookbook author announced on Instagram (in her usual hilarious fashion) that she’s retiring any ultra-high stilettos and instead, is going to start favoring shoes that are “extremely comfy.”
She wrote in the caption that she “vowed” to her stylist Alana Van Deraa, that she’ll only wear things she feels “physically comfortable in” going forward, which meant, she needed new shoes — stat.

While she said she has many “Birkenstock and Birkenstock-esque shoes en route,” she kicked off her new footwear journey with a pair of fuzzy, fluffy slide sandals from Fendi, which she showed off in three photos in her post. Teigen playfully posed in the brown slides, pairing them with equally-comfy baggy jeans, a white top tied at the waist and a brown blazer.

She appears to have snagged Fendi’s “Morton” printed shearling sandals, which are currently still available to shop for $1,050.
While she isn’t swearing off pumps forever, she said if she is spotted in heels, they won’t be ones that “throb the bunion mom so graciously passed down to me,” she joked.
In true Teigen form, she poked fun at her big announcement by ending the post writing, “It’s an exciting time, ladies and gentlemen!!!”
