Just in time for peak Hamptons season, Chanel has quietly opened one of the summer’s most exclusive shopping experiences: a by-appointment-only salon tucked inside the historic Hedges Inn in East Hampton. Running through July 28, the Chanel Summer Salon is part discreet fashion destination, part dream wardrobe scenario.
Each summer, East Hampton becomes a magnet for the fashion set — editors, influencers, stylists, and longtime Chanel clients seeking a more relaxed rhythm. With luxury pop-ups and private retail concepts flourishing across the East End, the arrival of Chanel’s salon signals a new benchmark: one that favors intimacy, discernment, and seamless service over sartorial spectacle.
Set within the Private Residence at The Hedges Inn — a storied bed and breakfast at 74 James Lane — the salon mirrors the house’s signature elegance: refined, intimate, and unmistakably Chanel.

Spanning the ground floor, the space includes two fitting rooms, a lounge, and a sun-drenched terrace, all designed to feel more like a private home than a retail destination. Inside, a curated edit of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, watches, and fine jewelry awaits — featuring the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Coco Beach 2025, and the 2024/25 Métiers d’art collection. The Fall/Winter 2025/26 pre-collection is set to arrive later in July, just in time for high summer soirées.
Tailored for Chanel’s most loyal clientele spending the season out East, the Summer Salon offers a serene and elevated alternative to city shopping, complete with the house’s iconic craftsmanship and couture-level care. Far from the bustle of Main Street, this is retail reimagined: intimate, intentional, and steeped in the codes of the maison.

Appointments are limited. In other words: book now, or wish you had. After all, some collections aren’t meant to be browsed — they’re meant to be discovered.
