Burgundy, a rich, deep hue of red, is making its way to the forefront of fashion as this fall season’s “it” color. This timeless shade has been a staple in fashion for centuries, but it’s experiencing a resurgence on the runways and in street style. We’re here to help you style it with an unexpected yet *insanely* good color combo you must add to your wardrobe this season.

Several luxury fashion houses showcased burgundy prominently in their Fall/Winter 2024 collections, cementing its status as a key trend. Brands like ETRO, Ferragamo, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and others embraced this versatile shade, demonstrating its timeless appeal. From oversized wool blazers to sheer slip dresses, burgundy was seen in a variety of styles and silhouettes.
Color Styling with Burgundy for Fall 2024
Although monochromatic dressing is still a hot trend, we also love giving you a variety of ways to play with new trend colors, from mixing with neutrals to experimenting with eclectic colorways. But among all of the styling options, there’s one color combo that we can’t stop looking at when it comes to burgundy, and that’s pairing it with powder blue.
Hear us out, okay? A rich, darker hue combined with a lighter, airy shade just packs the *perfect* amount of punch (it’s giving cool girl meets unapologetic trend-setter). The two shades work together in a way that goes with every skin tone, bringing out both warm and cool coloring.
