After struggling with her bad back, Carrie’s chic new friend Seema takes her to see an orthopedist. There, it comes to light that because of an undiagnosed congenital birth defect, her back aches can be cured with surgery. With Carrie clad in her hospital gown, Seema sported her signature luxe neutrals, draped in a plush cowl-neck blouse, silky slacks and a classic beige trench- call it hospital chic.

Out to celebrate that Carrie is, in fact, not an old lady and her back problems are not due to aging, Anthony takes the forth seat at the table. With Charlotte donning bold fuchsia, and Miranda in her typical printed work dress, Carrie works a bohemian kaftan with rainbow striped sleeves. To match her ensemble’s bright accents, Carrie sports floral textured hair accessories to pull together her look.

While waiting to go into surgery, a color coordinated Miranda stands by in support of a monochromatic beige Carrie. Waiting in a cream fringe blouse and Maison Alaïa muslin skirt, Carrie pairs her Birkenstocks with stocks, stating that from her knees down, she looks like a “Vermont art teacher.”

Miranda on the other hand, pairs her Akris denim mini dress with a lime green vintage Max Mara jacket and matching sandals to accompany her Loewe Ballon bucket bag.

From quitting her job as corporate lawyer to go back to school, to questioning her sexuality and if she has an alcohol problem, Miranda is at a juncture of self discovery. While her wardrobe may still reflect her personal style staples- earth-tones and shirt dresses- the prints and styling lean more bohemian than ever before, leaving room for growth and transformation both emotionally and sartorially.
