2024, the Year of the Sheer Dress: Jennifer Lopez, Zoë Kravitz, Bella Hadid, & More Steal the Show in Sheer

As Sabrina Carpenter said, "I was in a sheer dress the day that we met." And apparently, so was everyone else.

As we start to round out the year, we’re looking back on all the fashion do’s and don’ts of 2024. One trend that continued to grow in popularity throughout the year, dominating the red carpets, was, you guessed it, the sheer dress.

With the rise in female empowerment has also come the rise of women owning their sexuality — and on their own terms. In what used to be a case of “dressing for the male gaze” has now become women dressing for their own sense of power, and for no other reason than, well, simply they can. And what’s more empowering than that?
