Internet personality Kate Cassidy, the girlfriend of the late Liam Payne, has returned to vlogging three months post her partner’s passing.
The 25-year-old influencer shared a new edit of her “simple” days on January 14, one 39-second clip—sombre in tone— detailing how she is healing post Payne’s death: skincare, workout, walking her dog, cooking, journaling, reading, lighting a candle.
Looking after yourself is the textbook way to handle grief and Cassidy seems to be doing as well as could possibly be expected. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the candle the influencer lights in the video is labelled 444, a reference to a note Payne wrote to his girlfriend before he passed.
“Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444,” it allegedly read.
The One Direction star died on October 16 after falling from a third floor hotel balcony in Argentina. He was 31.
@kateecass a simple day🤍
“I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now,” Cassidy wrote on a post just after Payne’s death. “You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone – millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me. You are so incredibly loved. You are – because I can’t say were – my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did. Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into.

“Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned…You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go.”
Payne’s November 20 funeral was attended by close family and friends, including former bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. He is survived by his seven-year-old son, Bear, whom he shares with singer Cheryl Tweedy.
