Taylor Swift has a lot to commemorate in December. Not only did she perform the final show on her Eras Tour, which grossed over two million dollars across the two years she was on the road, she also concluded the month with a milestone event: her 35th birthday.
But after months of travelling around the globe and singing to thousands most nights, Swift allegedly kept the occasion low-key with a private celebration with Travis Kelce.
According to a report, the athlete “pulled out all the stops” for the Grammy Award winner with the couple celebrating “just them two” in Kansas City.
A source revealed that the three-time Super Bowl champion left the “mandatory” Chiefs’ Christmas party early to go be with his girlfriend and that he “got her a ton of gifts”. The contents of her presents are yet to be revealed, however, fans believe that she fêted the event with a heart-shaped birthday cake made by local bakery, Cami’s Cake Co.
Earlier in the week, Swift made her first public appearance after wrapping the tour by stopping at a children’s hospital. The songstress wore a festive-themed plaid Miu Miu set and knee-high Christian Louboutin boots for the occasion. She met with fans, signed copies of her new photo book and made TikToks.
Kelce was said to have been adamant to make Swift’s birthday “extra special” after their conflicting schedules made him unable to attend her final run of dates in Canada. (For the uninitiated, he was rostered to play NFL games during the concerts.)
An insider shared that he “only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store” because he didn’t “want to ruin any surprises”. They continued to explain that Kelce is “not the type to leave these things to the last minute, so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.”
