The style influence the likes of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle wield is well documented. When the Princess of Wales or Duchess of Sussex make an appearance, the public are quickly clamouring to know what they’re wearing and where they can pick up the pieces themselves. And while we’ve seen regal interpretations of red carpet dressing, tropical vacation outfits and even casual looks while they watch their children play sports, we’ve rarely been afforded looks into the royals’ maternity style. That was until now.
Overnight in London, Princess Beatrice, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, showcased a rather glamorous take on pregnancy dressing for a night out with Princess Diana’s nieces, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer. For the occasion, the 36-year-old looked outside of the British Isles and selected a glitzy piece from beloved Australian brand Rebecca Vallance.

Known for her sophisticated and sparkling occasion wear, the Sydney-based fashion designer has become somewhat of a cornerstone in the party dressing sector. Earlier this year she dressed Nicky Hilton for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, now she’s cemented her relationship with the heiress with a collaboration of chintzy gowns designed for the holiday season ahead.
The pair fêted the partnership with a celebration at Mayfair’s Gaia Restaurant, so it was only fitting that Princess Beatrice select a piece from the collection for the occasion. Fusing royal dress codes with socialite sensibilities, the dress in question was the Eliana Puff Sleeve Midi Dress, a sleek body-conscious design featuring a midi length, exaggerated shoulders and diamonte bow accents in the centre of the bodice. She completed her ensemble with Roger Vivier’s efflorescence pumps and pilgrim buckle clutch.
PRINCESS BEATRICEThe daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York announced the news of her pregnancy on October 1. She and her Italian husband share a daughter Sienna, 3, and eight-year-old Christopher Woolf, a child from Mapelli Mozzi’s previous relationship that they affectionately call Wolfie. The pair were married at Windsor Castle in a small ceremony in 2020 after their more elaborate celebrations were halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. They currently reside in the Cotswolds.
