Back in 2022, Tim Lawler, CEO of Sports Aid, spilled the tea on Princess Charlotte’s favorite hobby. She tagged along with Kate and William to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. It turns out swimming events thrilled her, but they didn’t totally capture her heart.

During their trip, Tim Lawler noted that while Charlotte enjoyed watching the swimming events, they weren’t her passion. “She really loved watching the swimming, but it’s the gymnastics that interests her,” he shared, as reported by The Mirror on October 13, 2024.
Lawler also let slip that at home, Kate and William’s kids dabble in numerous sports. But when asked about her fav, Charlotte confidently replied, “It’s gymnastics that I like.” Yep, Princess Charlotte’s favorite hobby is gymnastics, a killer combo of grace and strength.

Kate Middleton confirmed Tim Lawler’s insights with a laugh during a chat with the Daily Mail. “Charlotte spends most of her time upside down, doing pirouettes and cartwheels,” she jested. Meanwhile, her favorite sport wasn’t kept secret for long. On a 2020 visit to Ireland with Prince William, Kate revealed, “Charlotte really likes gymnastics, she does cartwheels, handstands, everything.”
