Cult Scandi brand GANNI brought magic to the city of lights last night with a Spring/Summer 2025 collection that marked its debut on the Paris Fashion Week schedule. As guests arrived at the Galerie Haute in the Palais de Tokyo, a mammoth recycled aluminium cauldron bubbled away, setting the tone for a show blending global influences, innovation and sustainable craft with an alchemical flair. Known for its playful spirit and vibrant prints, the Copenhagen-based brand brought a whimsical fusion of responsibility and creativity to the fashion capital for the first time, capturing the bold essence of the modern GANNI girl.
The collection, titled ‘The Craft’, played out like an incantation to individuality. As a major coming-of-age moment for GANNI—which was transformed by husband and wife duo Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup in 2009—the brand explored contrasts between masculine and feminine, utilitarian and romantic, bringing its quintessential Danish sensibility to Paris. Silhouettes ranged from biker-buckled trench coats and bubble hem skirts to smocked handkerchief dresses and corset-detail denim, with inventive layering and a bewitching colour palette of algae green, chocolate brown, and sky blue.
True to GANNI’s collaborative ethos, Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup invited emerging designers Nicklas Skovgaard and Claire Sullivan to co-create key looks, merging the beloved brand’s signature frills, sportswear motifs, and bold silhouettes with a fresh point of view. Accessories are always a commercial hit for GANNI, and this season offers enchanting twists on timeless shapes, with intricately laced boxing boots and studded ballet flats, as well as the iconic Bou bag, returned with artisanal braided straps.
The show was also a triumph for GANNI’s Fabrics of the Future initiative, with six new materials—including Circulose, Celium, and Simplifyber—pushing the boundaries of sustainable design. As a pioneer in alternative fabrications that support responsible production, the brand has proven a commitment to redefining sustainable fashion.
