Native New Yorker Matthew Mazur, better known as DJ Mazurbate, is a versatile DJ who knows how to take command of a room.
“Music is so important to any moment in life, whether it’s on or off,” DJ Mazurbate tells GRAZIA USA. “Sounds in general. They can relax you, excite you, anger you, depress you, etc.”
Drawing from his Peruvian-Polish roots—Mazurbate was born to disco-enthusiast immigrant parents—and NYC’s vibrant scene, his sets have been known to energize fashion weeks and warehouse raves globally.
For the summer 2024 playlist, DJ Mazurbate wanted to conjure up a celebratory vibe.“We wished for summer all winter long as New Yorkers do!” he says.“Now we’re here, and let’s enjoy it before we have to layer up and slip on black ice again! Imagine drinking an Aperol spritz on a beach where the sand is just right or wearing flip-flops on the hot city pavement while on your way to the farmers market.”
