Get ready, Miami: the world-famous Grand Prix race is coming for the very first time. On May 8th, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2022 will head to the Magic City and the weekend is going to be jam-packed with star-studded events all around the city. Below are some of the most exciting things happening around town.
Miami Race Nights at Fountainbleau Miami Beach
The Fountainbleau is pulling out all the stops for the very first Formula 1 weekend in Miami and the 3-night event at the iconic beachfront hotel is the place to be. Co-produced and in partnership with unKommon events, The Creative and Capture Studios, the live concert series will feature performances by David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Claptone, Meduza, Vintage Culture, Loud Luxury, Morten, DJ Ruckus, Plastik Funk, and more. General admission is $300 per ticket while big spenders can opt for VIP packages and private cabanas, ranging from $5,000 to $55,000.
Carbone Beach
Spicy Vodka Rigatoni but beachside? Yes, please. After a sold-out pop-up during Art Basel last December, the upscale Italian red sauce spot is setting up a Supper Club on the sand from May 5-8th for American Express Card members. Featuring some of the greatest hits from the Michelin-starred restaurant, the event will feature surprise performances. “We are excited to work with American Express to bring our very distinctive style of fun, high energy, and fine dining to the beach,” said Jeff Zalaznick, Major Food Group co-Founder, in a release. “Our guests can expect an evening featuring over-the-top food and special live performances during one of the most exciting weekends in Miami.”

The Ritz Carlton, South Beach
The Ritz Carlton, South Beach’s Dilido Beach Club will host an exclusive evening of cocktails, dinner and entertainment on May 6th – just in time to kick off the race weekend action. Expect a special guest performer.
Martinez Brothers at Sexy Fish
Since opening last year, Sexy Fish has been one of the hottest reservations in town. For Formula 1 weekend, head to the London import for a DJ set by the Martinez Brothers while enjoying the restaurant’s delicious dishes including Duck Salad, Smoked Tuna Belly and King Crab and Bone Marrow.

Racing Fan Fest Live
Recently opened NYC nightclub Nebula is also heading south for Formula 1 weekend, with an impressive lineup of talent. Taking over thedeck at Wynwood Marketplace, the Nebula pop-up will feature Mr. Pauer, Bass Jackers and Gregs. Kozlow to kick things off; the night of the race is a main event, with DJ Alesso closing out the weekend during the VIP Nebula SkyLoft party on Sunday, May 8th.
Tao X STORY Big Race Weekend
Teaming up for an epic weekend, Tao and STORY are back together for a weekend of major events and performances including DJ Khaled, DJ Snake, Gunna and Martin Garrix. Tao X STORY Big Race Weekend presented by Acura will also reintroduce the brand’s iconic Integra to the car maker’s lineup.
Williams F1 Viewing Party at W South Beach
The W South Beach will play host to the Williams team official viewing party on Sunday, May 8th. Taking place at the Living Room Bar and outside at Irma’s, all of the race day action will be streamed — including an exclusive look into the Williams paddock and driver onboard camera — along with cocktails and a pop-up menu featuring TRUFF Hot Sauce.

Baia Beach Club
Watching the F1 action bayside from Baia Beach Club is the ultimate Miami Formula One move. The 3-day VIP event will feature two 20 foot LED screens streaming the big race along with complimentary Champagne and caviar from the Petrossian x Taittinger Bar available throughout the day. Prefer to pull up on a boat? A private listening frequency will be available all three days for anyone who wants to stay on the water.
Loews Miami Beach Hotel Party – Hosted by Ferrari Trento
While already named the official Toast of F1, premium Italian sparkling wine Ferrari Trento will be accessible in several hospitality hubs throughout the weekend, from the Ferrari Trento Bar stationed inside the circuit, to a Sunday morning brunch at the Azimut Lounge. Closing out the eventful weekend with a big bash at the Lowes Miami Beach Hotel, Ferrari Trento intends to bookend the Miami Grand Prix in style.
Where to Stay
Acqualina
The oceanfront luxury hotel is offering a special “Miami F1 Speed” package for race weekend — and it’s pretty epic. The package includes two tickets to Formula 1, a one-bedroom oceanfront suite, a Rolls-Royce Ghost to travel around town in style and pampering at the hotel’s luxurious Royal Spa Suite.

W South Beach
The official headquarters for the Williams F1 team during the race weekend, the W South Beach — which recently reopened after a $30 renovation — the beachfront hotel is an ideal spot to call home base all weekend long. Relax poolside, have cocktails outside at Irma’s or enjoy a delicious dinner at the iconic MR CHOW restaurant. Pro tip: the W Insider is a concierge service that helps guests with whatever they need during their stay so make sure to take advantage.
Esmé Miami Beach
Opened in November 2021, the Esmé Miami Beach has a low-key vibe with plenty of action. Centrally located off of historic Española Way, the Esmé is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood, featuring five Latin-inspired food and beverage concepts including El Salon and Bar Pinxto along with Mediterranean favorite The Drexel, from the team behind Mandolin. The Roof at Esmé is the perfect respite and a great spot to catch the sunset.
