Have you ever wondered what the inside of your favorite designer’s home looked like? Well, Thom Browne is opening up his door and letting us in to do just that. Okay — not entirely that literal, even though an invite to his new Upper East Side townhouse he purchased with his partner, Andrew Bolton, head curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, would be a dream come true. For now, we’ll have to look to the designer’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection that pulls inspiration from his bedroom’s hand-painted floral wallpaper.
Although the collection stays true to the eponymous label’s signature DNA of grey skirts, heavy tweeds, and dresses, the pop of color adds a refreshing take to the brand’s Pre-Fall collection. The detailed toile wallpaper is interpreted in two colors: a soft jade green and blue. The intricate design is seen through the collection through oversized fluffy down outerwear, utilitarian blazers, cozy slippers, and pillow bags. A giant lobster bag stands out among the collection as far as accessories go. The marine crustacean is the latest animal Browne has adopted into his collections — which includes a fish, pig, monkey, giraffe, lion, elephant, a dog named Hector, and many more.
Ahead are GRAZIA‘s top five looks from the talent designer’s personal Pre-Fall 2022 collection — yes including the lobster bag.

New toile designs are inspired by Browne’s bedroom wallpaper.

Classic silhouettes get revamped in a soft jade hue.

Browne incorporates both new colorways onto a single bomber jacket: half green, half blue.

The lobster bag, need I say more.

To add to the lobster motif — lobster gloves. How camp.
