Hailey Bieber may have started the lip balm phone case obsession, but Dior is taking it to a whole new level.

Where Rhode is minimalist, practical, and sporty, Dior is unapologetically glamorous. Think vintage French vanity meets modern coquette aesthetic.

After Rhode turned its Peptide Lip Treatment into the ultimate Gen Z accessory, the French luxury house has introduced something considerably more extravagant: a $95 lip balm disguised as a miniature gold medallion.

Meet the Dior Médaillon Lip Balm, a limited-edition beauty accessory that attaches directly to the back of your phone. Part makeup, part jewelry, it might just be the most luxurious lip balm of 2026.

Dior’s New Lip Balm Looks More Like Jewelry Than Makeup

Released as part of Dior’s Holiday 2026 Cinnamon Glaze Makeup Collection, the Médaillon Lip Balm is a far cry from your average lip treatment.

The ornate gold compact features an oval silhouette, delicate bow detailing, and an intricate design inspired by the house’s historic medallion motif. Open it, and you’ll discover a tiny pot of shimmering lip balm.

The best part? It comes with an adhesive attachment and positioning template, allowing you to stick the compact directly onto your phone case.

Inside is 001 Crystal Pink, a sheer, sparkling pink shade designed to leave lips looking glossy and luminous without overwhelming color.

The formula contains nourishing ingredients including squalane, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil, with a claimed 24 hours of hydration. But with just 2 grams of product, it’s clear that the packaging is as much of a selling point as the balm itself.

The Médaillon has been offered through retailers including Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and select department stores, although availability may vary.

Ultimately, Dior’s latest launch reflects a bigger beauty trend: makeup is no longer something we simply carry in our handbags. It’s becoming part of how we accessorize.
