Back in 1988, a 14-year-old Kate Moss was spotted by a model scout at JFK airport. Since then, fashion has adored a good discovery story. The latest one comes straight from the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

On October 18, Solange Omon stepped onto the runway as the brand’s newest Angel. The 21-year-old, born in Cameroon, won a nationwide casting call that drew thousands of hopefuls.

Better still, the whole adventure was captured in Angels Among Us, a docuseries streaming on YouTube. So fans followed her journey episode by episode, from the first audition right up to her very first pair of wings.

Inside the Angels Among Us Casting Call

Since September, the series has taken fans inside every casting and training session. Chief creative officer Adam Selman led the search with a rotating crew of models and experts, touring four US cities to find the next big name. In Chicago, Solange’s bubbly personality instantly won the room and earned her a top-10 spot.

From Maine to an IMG Models Contract

Before her debut, Solange was busy studying and working with nonprofit youth programs in Maine. That résumé full of heart made her journey even sweeter to watch on screen. Now her prize includes an exclusive contract with IMG Models, and those brand-new wings look ready for a very long flight.
