Patrick Süskind built an entire mythology out of a man convinced that scent could seduce more completely than any face or voice, bending desire the way only something unseen can. In Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, that conviction reads almost like an old alchemical faith, the sense that fragrance speaks where language runs out, reaching some part of us words were never built to touch. Every great perfume house seems to chase some version of that same belief, hoping a single bottle might hold an entire emotional register no advertisement could spell out plainly. Something of that same faith, softened into radiance rather than obsession, runs quietly beneath Prada Beauty‘s newest release. And once again, the face entrusted with carrying it into the world belongs to Zendaya.

A New Chapter for Paradoxe

Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry marks the first fruity floral addition to the Paradoxe line since it launched back in 2022, and it leans fully into contrast, the house’s favorite trick. Blackcurrant syrup opens the composition with a jolt of tartness, orange blossom absolute settles in at the heart, and a neroli milk accord closes things out on something softer and almost edible.

The house’s perfumers have described wanting to build a sweetness that feels emotional and layered rather than simply sugary, and the notes bear that out, never quite settling into one register for long. The bottle carries Prada’s signature triangle in a new lilac finish, and stays true to the brand’s refillable format, sweetness with a conscience built in.

Zendaya, Once Again the Face of Paradoxe

Zendaya’s return as the campaign’s global ambassador feels less like a marketing decision and more like a continuation of a relationship that’s already well established between her and the house. Where the original Paradoxe campaign leaned into quiet self-possession, this new chapter softens that same confidence without losing its edge, letting sweetness read as strength rather than concession. It’s a shift that suits her particular brand of star power, the kind that has always looked most comfortable holding two contradictory ideas at once. Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry is available now on Prada’s official website.
