La Critics Choice Association dio a conocer a los seleccionados para competir en la distintas categorías de los Critics Choice Awards 2022, siendo Belfast, de Kenneth Branagh, y West Side Story, de Steven Spielberg, quienes lideran cada una con 11 nominaciones.
Dune y The Power of the Dog, las siguen con 10 nominaciones cada una, compitiendo también por la Mejor Película contra Licorice Pizza y Nightmare Alley, con 8 nominaciones cada una, King Richard y Don’t Look Up con 6 nominaciones, CODA con 4 y Tick, tick… BOOM! con 2.
“Estamos muy orgullosos de honrar esta increíble lista de películas y a las personas increíblemente talentosas que las hicieron durante este tiempo extremadamente desafiante. Todos los ojos estarán puestos en la alfombra roja y en el salón de baile del Fairmont Century Plaza el 9 de enero, cuando las estrellas más importantes del cine y la televisión se reunirán para celebrar lo mejor de lo mejor en entretenimiento el año pasado. En el entorno más seguro posible, marcará el regreso del tipo de brillo y glamour que no hemos podido disfrutar en mucho tiempo”, dijo Joey Berlin, director ejecutivo de Critics Choice Association.
Las nominaciones a los Critics Choice Awards se seleccionan de entre un grupo de más de 500 personas que, como es costumbre, han demostrado ser un presagio de lo que vendrá para los Oscar.
Los ganadores en todas las categorías se revelarán en la gala de los Critics Choice Awards, organizada por Taye Diggs y Nicole Byer, el domingo 9 de enero.
