After many years in the making, Matt Reeves’ The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz has finally hit the big screen. This week the cast embarked on a press tour in Paris before returning to London for the global premiere. As if she took a leaf from Zendaya’s styling book – known for her thematic dressing – Kravitz channelled her on-screen character Catwoman (aka Selina Kyle) in Saint Laurent.

Overnight the cult actress appeared alongside Pattinson wearing a Resort 2022 floor-length YSL gown with scalloped halterneck straps and small cutouts at the breasts. Her superhero counterpart wore a grey oversized double-breasted suit and black turtleneck knit from Dior.

The day prior, Kravitz attended a photo call for the new film in Paris, also wearing Saint Laurent. Giving Matrix-cum-Catwoman vibes she opted for a long leather coat with a mesh top just peaking through, sheer stockings, black patent pumps and oval sunglasses. Pattinson fronted the affair in a Dior Men’s peak lapel coat, a grey wool oblique suit, a classic black cotton shirt and black leather chelsea boots.

Last week Kravitz reflected on the nerve-wracking screen test for The Batman and described how her friendship with Pattinson supported them.

“The chemistry read was really intense,” Kravitz told Entertainment Weekly. “Rob was wearing the Batsuit, and it was a proper camera test with the DP there and everything on a soundstage. It wasn’t just reading lines in a room. So, it was intimidating, to say the least.”

Pattinson also echoed this sentiment. “The first time I’d even said lines from the script was in Zoë’s screen test,” the actor admitted.

“They had this idea that they wanted me to be taller at the beginning, so I basically had high-heeled sneakers on, and I’m tottering around in this strange Batman outfit,” he continued. “The camera’s not even on me, it’s on the back of my head, and I’m literally having this major panic attack, just looking for emotional support from Zoë, who’s trying to get the part.

With that in mind, we can’t wait to see them on the silver screen. The Batman releasex into Australian theatres from March 3.
