After years of speculation around the Spider-Man co-stars’ romantic involvement, this could be the confirmation we were all looking for.

The first appearance
Tom Holland, 25, and Zendaya, 24, first met on the film set, Spider-Man: Homecoming. At Comic-Con in July 2016, the co-stars made their first red carpet appearance together. During the same month, the pair were seen spending time at a poolside soirée.
The rumour begins
In the lead up to the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the acting duo graced the red carpet several times. While we had all secretly hoped they’d become an item, People jumped the gun to claim Zendaya and Holland were in fact dating.
“They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man,” a source told the publication. “They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”
Both stars were quick to respond via Twitter denying all claims.

Meeting the parents
In December 2017 both actors added further fuel to the rumour mill after Holland was spotted spending time with Zendaya’s parents, per a report from Page Six.
A SWEET TRIBUTE
Holland did no favour to quell rumours he was dating (or at least in love with Zendaya) after he posted a sweet tribute of the actress after she appeared at the 2018 Met Gala dressed like Joan of Ark.
“All hail the queen. Killing it mate 🙌🏻,” Holland wrote to Instagram.
Their First On-Screen Kiss
The cast of Spider-Man linked up for the next installment of the franchise, Spider-Man: Far From Home. It was during this film that the duo finally kissed as Peter Parker and Michelle “MJ” Jones.
A bRIEF iNTERMISSION
Initial speculation over the couple’s relationship were squashed when Zendaya started dating Euphoria co-star, Jacob Elordi in 2019.
“They have been inseparable since last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects,” a source told E! News. “Jacob has met Zendaya’s family, and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common.”
The couple split. Elordi was spotted with new girlfriend, Kaia Gerber in September 2020.
A reunion worthy of a relationship
It was revealed earlier this year that Zendaya would join the cast once again for the next installment of Spider-Man with Holland.
